Biography:
Knox Family Band is a good 'ol down home southern gospel band with some modern bluegrass & country in the mix. Phillip Carter and Harvey Brewer, the two original members, still head the line-up which has grown to seven since the early days beginning in 1976. The band now includes Harvey & Phillip's niece Marcy Moore, her brother Clyde Brewer, Phillip's brother Kenny Carter, and most recently his children Nathan and Carrie Carter. There have been quite a few faces in and out through the group's 32 year history, but today's line-up proves to be the most solid yet. The group is still going strong throughout Alabama and the southeastern region, and just recorded their 5th release (4th studio project) at Guest House Studios.
